Walk The Beach Trail
San Clemente’s beach trail stretches 2.3 miles one direction and offers plenty of room to walk or exercise with your dog. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed on the beach itself, but there are a number of grassy parks along the way that you can stop and enjoy. Linda Lane and Parque Del Mar are two parks you can visit along the beach trail.
San Clemente Dog Park
San Clemente’s dog park is located on Avenida La Pata west of i5 freeway. There are two separate parks, one for large dogs, and one for smaller dogs. The small dog park has grass, and the large dog park has light sandy gravel.

Linda Lane Park
Just a few minutes walk from the pier, Linda Lane Park offers plenty of grass to hang with your dog. This quiet park is along the beach trail where you can enjoy a longer walk. Linda Lane has plenty of parking.
Max Berg Park
Located towards the north end of town, Max Berg is a large outdoor park with picnic benches and plenty of grass to walk your dog.
Parque Del Mar
This park is on the small bluff overlooking the San Clemente Pier. A great place to walk your dog and relax on picnic benches. The San Clemente beach trail is just a few steps away offering plenty more walking trail.
Sea Summit
Across from the Outlets at San Clemente, Sea Summit trails offer plenty of space to walk your dog. Scenic views of the ocean and plenty of benches to rest.
San Onofre Dog Beach
Dogs are not allowed on the sand at San O, but can be in the parking area. K-9 friends are permitted at dog beach on the sand located at the farthest end of the parking lot.
La Paws Dog Park
A short ride from San Clemente in Mission Viejo, is our favorite dog park. It has well maintained grass spaces and two separate parks for big dogs and smaller dogs.

The entire shopping complex is dog friendly including stores. Outlets at San Clemente provides guests with pet sanitation stations throughout the center and most stores are kind enough to set out a water bowl.
